Soft Maple Flitches
SPECIES
This set of soft maple has extremely nice figure. The flatsawn pieces look like tight quilt, and the vertical grain pieces show a tight fiddleback. The set also has some character features, even a little bit of ambrosia on the back half of the log. The deeper into the log you get the knots begin poking through, and some color streaks show up. The character knots are pretty nicely spread out down the length of the set.
